Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 5:33 CST at world headquarters in Belvidere, IL. On the big road I-90 eastbound with a fresh 70 hour clock from the weekend off.
Stopped at Love’s near Hampton, IL at 6:00 to top off refer tank. Set refer to -10 F, all is good. We are at Gold status all month long. No free coffee or free showers. November was such a slow month, no company fuel bonus either as we didn’t hit the required amount of miles.
Arrived at the shipper, near Minooka, IL, at 7:30 CST for our live load appointment at 8:00.
Our status changed to “on time to delivery” at 11:46 CST, loading was complete. Normally, loading is around two hours; not today.
I-80 eastbound. Welcome to Indiana at 12:47 near Hammond.
Stopped at the Love’s in Gary, IN at 12:58 for fresh coffee.
Heading south on I-65 near Lowell, IN, needed to do a drive through at the mass/weigh station that was open, no pre-pass at 13:34. No issues.
We were exactly 2,000 mile from 2 million miles at 17:11 as we passed near Edinburgh, IN on I-65.
Numbers: 530 miles 852 km to receiver. We covered 401 miles 806 km, in addition to picking up at the shipper. We were rolling out of Illinois and into Indiana. “Not bad at all today”
Clocks: 3:37 hours on 11 hr, 1:27 hours on 14 hr, 60:10 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
