Snowman

Everyone welcome Snowman back! He will be your host for this first day. Every truck we drive has been different and requires a different way to rig the cameras, mount them so they do not shake, positions, get power to them, etc. I have not even been in this one 24 hours yet. LOL. I did manage to get the socks and underwear stuffed into a cabinet, the new mattress unrolled and laid out, and sheets put on:) I will get the live stream setup in a day or two. My first goal is to drive. Imagine the last seven weeks…..no paycheck, $4,000+ in hotel, $5,000 in medical insurance deductibles….I need to get the cash flow rolling again! 🙂

We will get rolling here shortly. All I know at this point is our truck is a 2013 Kenworth. Silver/gray. Shifting pattern is the same as the Cascadia. I will take a photo after she is all washed and cleaned. She is pretty dirty both inside and out! It has a decent amount of space to cram my junk in, so I can’t complain. It seems to drive, turn, and pull a heavy load pretty well. It is a nice smooth ride on the highway, but if you hit a bump, it shakes the whole truck! That might just be my boxes bouncing around though…

The transition back into trucking has been pretty smooth, but our first backing into a dock was into a building where there was just 4 inches on each side between the trailer and pillars! No lights and no painted lines to use to make sure I stay straight! (I wish shippers would spend a few dollars to buy paint and put those lines since it makes backing ten times easier!)
