Big Rig Steve officially done for the day at 18:37 EDT safely parked at Gaffney, South Carolina, back to our previous days parking location.  Steve was going to have the rest of his pork loin for supper, get out his portable chair and sit outside to relax. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Title: Virginia to South Carolina Run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 10:57 EDT at Chesapeake, Virginia with a beautiful start to the day with partly cloudy skies and sunshine.  Continued our return trip of bringing back the empty trailer to Cowpens, SC.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRS spots a blimp flying overhead at 11:05 EDT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ended up stopped waiting at 11:10 EDT on I-64 due to apparently an open drawbridge preventing our crossing of the Elizabeth River. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zelda makes herself heard at 11:21 EDT, BRS said \u201cGreat, who turned on Chatty Kathy and Zelda?  I will follow the road.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mass\/weigh station near Suffolk, VA at 11:21 EDT is closed.  BRS said \u201cBest type of weight station, a closed one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRS opens the window a little at 11:33 EDT and says \u201cA beautiful sunny day, let the oxygen in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrival at Love\u2019s near Franklin, VA for coffee and a \u201cno show\u201d Road Crew meet up at 12:05 EDT.  Back onto US 58 at 12:25 EDT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRS said \u201cWelcome to North Carolina\u201d at 13:58 EDT near Warrenton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stopped at a rest area at 14:30 EDT near Oxford, NC to check messages.  Apparently BRS had been trying to communicate with weekend dispatch about the next trips, and they were not responsive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we rolled through Charlotte, NC at 17:08 EDT, we spotted an airplane landing at CLT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to South Carolina near Blacksburg at 17:38 EDT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrival at original shipper to drop the trailer near Cowpens, SC at 18:07 EDT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rolling back out, bobtail bob at 18:23 EDT, headed back towards Gaffney, SC to park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRS was accused of being crabby today, Steve apologized, issues with the next trips and the website were still unresolved.  That, and Steve pointed out, North Carolina has the worst drivers of any other state, so inconsiderate, we get cut off there, more than anywhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numbers:  0 miles 0 km to receiver\/shipper.  We covered 402 miles 646 km rolling out of Virginia, through North Carolina into South Carolina, including dropping empty trailer at customer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clocks: 3:16 hours on 11 hr,  5:26 hours on 14 hr,  51:12 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No alarm clock \u23f0 tomorrow.   Currently waiting on our next trip.  Update: Website is scheduled to go into transition on Monday.  Choose the BRT YouTube channel alarm bell to receive notifications for the start of our broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
