Eagle Creek Fire and Miles!

Good Morning! Well sad news. I knew there was a fire in the Oregon and Washington areas because we have been driving through the smoke for days now! I have heard the Eagle Creek fire was in the Columbia River Gorge area burning 5600+ acres and taking out numerous waterfall hiking trails and has jumped the Columbia River and is now also burning in Washington. Just a month or two ago, my buddy from Chicago and I took four days off to see Crater Lake as well as miles of the Oregon Coastline. One of the early sidetrips we did was visit some of the areas that are now “gone” in the Gorge. Here is the video I took as I hiked through waist deep waters to get to the waterfall in Oneonta Gorge. Also below, you will see numerous photo galleries of the area taken a few years ago. It’s all gone now. Think about it for a minute…. the Live Broadcasts I did as we drove through the Columbia River Gorge on Interstate 84…..is completely changed now. As far as trucking goes, we have already done multiple 600+ mile days. We still have 250 miles to go for this delivery tomorrow morning. Finally, the trip that started out with us having to make a Uturn because the shipper loaded the wrong freight, then getting a blowout just West of Baker City, Oregon is almost done! No rest just yet since we already have our next trip lined up and it too will be a fast and tight trip!
